Its Gecko Time!!!

Jace still loves his Halloween costume. It is a dragon costume that has evolved into a gecko suit. Being the "baby" he gets to do almost anything he wants. It has possibly gotten out of hand. He wore it to walmart and then another day to soccer practice for Jay and Jax. Anyway, when he wears it he is no longer Jace. And only answers when addressed as "gecko". The other day he got it out and said in a very jovial voice with his hands above his head, "Its gecko time!" He is a cute little gecko, that is for sure. We love our little gecko!!!

This is Jax's nemesis. I guess I should say Jax is his nemesis! This is the kid that he wrestled 1st and lost by one point. They later wrestled for 3& 4th which Jax won by one point. Both matches were nailbiters up to the very end. It was quite a day.

This is Jay's 1st match. This kid beat him last week. I was impressed at how he got an escape with ten seconds left in the match after being ridden hard for the round. He then got a takedown so the final score was 3-2 Jay won. The kid was pretty upset so he didn't finish the match. I think he thought he would beat him as easily as he did the previous week. I am one proud daddy married to one proud momma. Way to go Jay!!!

Last week Jay only wrestled twice. He lost them both. The first match he wrestled today he was winning 3-2 when the kid quit. He had beat Jay last week. But this week Jay Wrestled tougher. It is always a more fun ride home when one goes home having won!!

This is Jay's championship match. We were just glad that he had won the first match. Things were a little tense that day. We were extremely proud of how he "got it done" during this match. If he keeps wrestling like this he will be competitive. I just hope he does.

Haylee Birthday 6 Years old

Haylee turned 6 on October 9th. I can't believe my oldest is already 6! Six just seems too old! Haylee had a wonderful Birthday! It was filled with fun, including the birthday crown her teacher gave her at school, to the dinner and farm/Goat cake, and presents and of corse the Pinata which is now our family tradition. Haylee and Grandpa Gary share the same Birthday!!! That just makes her birtday even more special!!

Haylee started Kindergarten this year! She love IT!!!!! She goes 4 days a week all day long. Which makes for long days, but it's really nice to have 3 day weekend every week! She still loves School, and she has been going for almost 2 months now. She has a wonderful teacher, who is doing a great job with the 12 kids in the kindergarten class. Haylee is learning so much. Jayden still has a hard time with her being gone. Come 4:00 he is ready for her to be home.

Jaxon turned 3 on September 20th! All he wanted was Superman! I even had to try to make superman cake. It didn't turn out real well, but he liked it and that was all that mattered. He had a GREAT birthday!

Best buy of the year

Well this is Sombra and her daughter. The kid doesn't have a name, she is too wild to name. Anyway, We got these two goats 2 weeks ago and they very well could be the coolest thing I have bought, EVER. We decided to get them because Jace is lactose intolerant and The milk we were going to start buying him costs 8 bucks a gallon. Not to mention he goes through a gallon every 2.5 days. So I saw an add in the newspaper and the lady was selling milk goats. Nubians. That is like a jersey in cow talk. They don't give as much as a "holstein" but their milk is rich and creamy like a jersesy's. The lady also had us go to her house and taste the milk so we could choose the goat that we thought would give the tastiest milk. So we did. Dad got one and so did we. The lady gave us the little ones to go with because they need company. We paid 250. Then I went to the store and bought 400 bucks worth of panels. I must say that for 650 dollars one can certainly buy a lot of milk. But I also must say that for 650 its pretty hard to have that much fun. I tell Heidi how cool I am to own an animal that will give me a drink whenever I want one. After milking cow she is a piece of cake. It takes me less that 5 minutes to milk her and we get about 3/4 gal per day. pretty cool huh? Everyone likes the milk except for one, Heidi. But I am thinking in a while she might come around. NOT!! Anyway if anyone would like to try some "goat's", as we call it, come on down. Oh yea, I told Heidi that the goat was the coolest thing I own next to her. Not funny!

Well Yesterday was a new milestone for our family. Haylee is the first kid to loose her first baby tooth. It had been loose for about a month. But she decided she was ready for a little visit from the tooth fairy. So we wiggled and wiggled. Then we decided to make up a game and really start to wiggle. The game was that Haylee was going to try and bite my finger. My role in the game was to try and touch the tooth. I would drag my finger across her tooth and wiggle it a bit. It was all fun and games till someone started to bleed. (not me) But to my suprise she wanted to keep playing as long as I could make her laugh between the painful "wiggles". (not too tough) So we played until the tooth was extremly loose. I tried to grab that little sucker but it was to slick. Plus I had just trimmed my nails. (not good planning) So I told her I wanted to wiggle her tooth with some pliers (she fell for it) So I got out the trusty dentist tools and did some wiggling. Then I got a good grip and let er' rip. She was pretty tough and went and told Heidi " mom, my tooth just flipped right out." It was fun. Oh yea, Jayden reassured me that when his tooth gets loose he'll just be tough and let me rip it out. We'll see. Oh yea one more thing. The stupid tooth fairy was not real sharp.. well we said he was running late. Before 6 this morning she came and woke us up and told us the tooth fairy forgot to come. I said he was probably busy but might come in a few minutes. Luckily he made it shortly there-after and she was able to cash in on a whoppin 25 cents. Pretty wild times.

The other day I had Jayden laying across my lap getting a back rub. He is a bit picky on how the job gets done. The shirt must be up and it can't be too hard or it can't be too soft. Well Heidi called me into the other room. As we our conversation was winding down, Jayden grabbed my hand and pulling me back to the rocking chair said, "Come on dad lets go finish rubbing my back" That seems to be a popular past time in our fam. Snowmen in April

It snowed the other Day! In April! I'm ready for summer, and to see the snow fall, just made me mad. But for once the snow was wet, and perfect for building snowmen! So we went outside to build a snowman. We rolled the bottom and then then the middle. The middle was just too big and heavy for me to lift up on top of the bottom, that we just had to make two snow persons, one is a girl and one is a boy. They had melted before the day was over, but we had a lot of fun making them. The next day however it snowed even more. Summer has to be comming I just know it!!!

Food Storage

We have a few little pets running around our yard, that we call our food storage. Haylee and Jayden just love these wild rabbits. They found a couple on our lawn yesterday morning. Jayden then spent the rest of the morning trying to catch them. I'm not real sure what he would do with one once he caught one, but it keeps him busy tring.

I found Jace under the computer desk today! He can roll and army crawl wherever he wants, and reach anything he wants, as long as it's on the ground. He had rolled over to a dum dum sucker left on the floor. Somehow he got the wrapper half way off and was enjoying a little piece of candy.

Stung By a Bee

We were on our way to take Haylee to dance class when I came to the van hearing Jayden and Jaxon screaming. I rushed to see what was the matter. And they had told me a fly was on Jaxon's neck. I examined his neck and found a little stinger in it. I then saw the bee flying around still inside the van. After a lot of comotion we got the bee out of the van and the stinger removed from Jaxon's neck. After we dropped Haylee off we were on our way to Walmart, so we picked up some Cartoon Band Aids for Jaxon. I had told him he could have a Band Aide for his neck, where the Bee had stung him. By the time we got home, Jaxon had used almost every single band aide in the box. None of the band aids had made it to his bee sting on his neck. I should have just gotton some nice stickers. Jayden had nightmears about bees the next few days, and he wasn't even the one who got stung.

Major Goose Egg

Jayden is our acciedent prone kid. He always has a bump or bruise, and 95% of the time it is on his head. But this one was his biggest yet!! Our dog Buddy knocked him over the other day and left him with this huge goose egg. Just days before that he had jumped onto a cousin and bruised his nose. I was scared he was going to get sick and have to go to the Doctor. I'm sure they were going to think I beat my little boy.

Introducing Henry

This is Henry. He is our friendly four-wheeler. We bought him at a yard sale for $50. Then we had to put in a new piston and fix a flat so we have 120 into him. The kids love to go ridin. Jaxon MUST be supervised, he only knows stop and GO.

Buddy is one helpful puppy. He love to run along side the kids. This buddy can run like a dog. he went over two miles the other day. Haylee kept trying to grab his tongue but he was too quick for her.

The kids love to ride, the hardest part is deciding who gets to drive.

While we were at the sale barn we were hungry for steak so we bought a steer and named him "T-Bone" Haylee, the little carnivore, is so excited to butcher poor T-Bone its not like a girl to want to kill something so bad. She always talks about him when she is hungry.
We also bought a little calf that we got a good deal on so the kids could have some fun, So far only mom and dad have had the fun but were anxious to share. The little calf's name is "Oty", from "Barnyard", a must see movie.

Well I think everybody has weak moments. This is a bit excessive. We bought some chickens (6). We had to have one for each member of the family.

Throwin' sticks in the Creek

We took the kids to grandpa's to gather up some sticks to go throw them in the creek wich runs a ways away from our house. They had a lot of fun and Jaxon only hit Hay in the head one time.

We were all having a great time. We threw sticks for a long time and had to make a second trip for more sticks. The ones you see in the pic are the second trip only.

We filled it up as fast as we could when all fo the sudden...

Jaxon fell in!!! Luckily dad was close by and pulled him out before he swallowed too much water. He was not liking the cold water and scary experience and kept repeating on the way home, "I fall in water and daddy got me" We feel blessed nothing too bad happened.

Happy Pretend Birthday!

Last Sunday Jaxon told me it was his birthday, and he wanted a Birthday cake. So while they were napping I baked a cake for the kids. I also wrapped up some odds and ends like (paint sticks, and hot chocolate) that they could open! They don't care what they are opening, it's just fun to recieve presents and open them up to see what's inside. They had soo much fun at there Pretend Birthday Party. We even sang and blew out candles! Kids are what make life fun.

Jace is a free man

Jace is off of his oxygen. He has had a rough week and a half. On valentines day, Jace had a little cough, so I took him into the doctor, before it got any worse, and turned into pnmonia (sp) She said, he was just fine, and give him a few breathing treatments. Well wednessday night he woke up around 1:00. I went in to feed him and he was gasping for air. I got soo scared and woke Jared up. Jace was white as a ghost and had blue around his mouth. We put him in his car seat and I sped to the Emergancy Room, disregarding all red lights. I got there and they checked his O2 level and it was at 76% They put oxygen on him right away and did all kinds of tests, chest X-rays, RSV, influenza tests, ect... I have never been to the ER and was helped so promptly. All the tests came back negative, but we were admitted to the hospital for 3 days. They gave him steriods and watched him. He never had a fever or anything. They let us come home friday afternoon. Saturday he was taking a nap next to Jared. He started breathing weird and Jared checked on him, he was having a seizer. Again I rushed him to the ER, not knowing what else to do. He was still having the seizer as I was driving. They did all kinds of tests again including a CAT scan. Everything came back fine. They think maybe his fever spiked and that will cause a seizer, but he has never had a fever the whole time he has been sick, it's kinda weird. But two weeks later, he is doing great, and he no longer needs oxygen!!!

Some kids suck their thumbs, while others... like Jace suck their toes!!! I was feeding him cereal the other night, and he keept sticking his toes in his mouth after every spoonful! it was just too cute not to take a picture of it.

Jaxon came down with croup

Thursday Night Jaxon woke up Coughing like crazy. Friday morning he was acting just fine, so I didn't take him to the doctor. Around 1:00 pm (nap time) He got really sick with the seal barking cough. I decided he really did need to see the Doctor. So I call up wanting an appointment. They didn't have any! They did give me an oppointment for Saturday morning. (This is a new thing for our little clinic, to open up saturday's) So I took the 9:00 opointment. Jaxon however continued to get worse. We almost took him to the Emergancy Room 3 times! One of the times, we were half way to the Hospital. I think the cold air he breathed going from the house to the car helped him breathe a little easier. Finally Saturday morning came and we were able to take him in. He got a shot of steriods. The Doctor also prescribed us some albutural and pulmicort. The Pulmicort was $142.00 (Walmarts cost) He could breathe a lot better sunday morning, but his fever just wouldn't go down. It was up to 104 sometimes. But today, Monday He is doing much better. We are just hoping that this illness doesn't spread to the other kids, espically little Jace. We put him in a little tent, made from our card table and a sheet. We put the humidifier in there, it really made a difference. Jaxon's Croup turned in to pnmonia (sp). He just wasn't getting better so we hat to take him in again, thinking he might have an ear infection, but it was pnmonia instead.
